The Board of Directors is responsible to the community of Look At Me School and the Board of Trustees. Its primary responsibility is to developed policies that will promote the educational achievement of all the children enrolled in the school. The Board of Directors is charged with accomplishing this effort while also being responsible for the wise management of resources available to the school. The Board of Directors must fulfill these responsibilities by School Director to implement policy, and by evaluating the results.

Board members have no authority over school affairs as individuals. They have authority only when acting as a group dully called into session. They will suggest problems for Board consideration, inform themselves on school matters, take part in Board deliberations, arrive at opinions independently, and vote as they choose. In order to arrive at mature and functional decisions, Board members recognize the need for information and materials. All formal requests for information should be directed to the Chief Administrator or School Director.

The School Board will delegate to the Chief Administrator or School Director the function of specifying required actions and designing the detailed arrangements under which the School will be operated. Such detailed arrangements will constitute the administrative directives governing the school. The administrative directives must be in every respect consistent with the policies adopted by the School Board of Directors.
