| High School at LAMS encompasses 9-12 grades. in 2007, LAMS high school offers 9th and 10th grade programs in which subjects are taught in a departmentalized system with some block scheduling being utilized. Teachers use the LAMS approved Consensus Curriculum (revised summer 2007) to develop their individual class' curriculum. Learning objectives for each grade level are then carefully developed within the guidance provided by LAMS Curriculum (see curriculum page for more details). This process provides teachers flexibility in developing a learning program geared to the ability levels of their students in a given year. In 2007 LAMS begins with the SRI (Scholastic Reading Inventory) which provides a consistent whole-group test format for grades 1-12 and provides a Lexile measure and correlation to grade level ranges, as well as norm-referenced data. These standardized test scores are going to measure with data our curriculum development and implementation. |
